if so what would I need?

The best idea is to go buy a proper regulated and filtered power supply made for this job.

They aren’t as expensive than you think and are well worth it when you consider it has protection circuits for over voltage and filters to provide a clean voltage output.

While the radio was design for car battery power , a suitable power supply will do the job just as well.

Forget about the idea of using car battery chargers.
These are unregulated and pass a lot of noise through the supply to the radio.
everyone will complain about AC hum in your signal.

Go to the shop (or ebay) and buy the correct CB Radio Power supply.

As far as antennas are concerned , you can use (with modifications) a car CB antenna , but if your wanting the best performance (and distance) go buy a proper Home Base antenna.

They are a bit expensive , but you will get at least 3 or 4 times the distance from your signal compared to using a mobile whip.
