Can anybody say why we call radio frequency band as natural source whereas Radio Frequency signal is generated?
Radio frequency signal is generated manually at a certain frequency by using the transmitter circuit. This all we know… Then how we can say the whole band is natural source? If it is natural, then Where is it? Around us? If yes, then why can’t we get shocked by the magnitude of any of frequency lies in the frequency band? Then who controls the magnitude parameter of that natural source?
As you would know, radio waves are just electromagnetic radiation, just like light and x rays. Radio waves come from many natural sources, example, the sun. Lightning and other atmosphereic phenomena create lots of radio waves. (just tune your radio to an empty station during a lighting storm and listen!) Even the random motion of atoms everywhere produces radio waves (look up ‘thermal noise’): anything that has a temperature above absolute zero (which is every piece of matter in the universe) emmits radio waves.
You dont get a shock becuase this natural background radio noise has a very low energy density: the power is spread out over a very large area. It is the same reason that you wont get a shock standing near transmitting antenna (Also, at frequencies higher than around 30kHz, you cannot feel electric shocks from the current, your nerves dont respond to the high frequencies).
