what size of an amp do i need if i have two SWR-1022D 10″ Alpine Type R’s and a box?

look for an amp that can dish out 1000w at 2 ohms and do not get a real cheap one or it will cut off a lot.
get an amp wiring kit 4 gauge at least. 2 may be best
why r u giving info on 1242 when u have 1022. I assume 1022 means dual 2 ohm
wire coils per the chart:

since u have dual 2 ohms (should have gone dual 4) need to wire coils on each speaker in parallel to yield 1 ohm each then series to amp to yield 2 ohms. the chart explains it all. oh and get true 12 awg gauge wire, not cheapo 12 that’s really 14. now go do some research
